Okay so KSI is boxing again and his journey to more millions (of followers and dollars) starts Saturday August 27 at London’s O2 Arena in London.
Boxing streaming platform DAZN is going all in again on YouTubers between the ropes, having seen KSI once sell out Staples Center for a showdown with Logan Paul.
Things have moved on again since then of course, with Logan fighting Floyd Mayweather Jr and his brother Jake becoming one of the biggest names in sport (yeah, don’t laugh, this is painful).
The rumors now are of a Jake vs KSI showdown soon which would likely earn both tens of millions of dollars. It is enough to make an old boxing purist cry.
KSI, with his massive army of YT fans, had been slated to meet fellow YouTuber Alex Wassabi August 27, but he is now ruled out by a concussion. So in comes KSI’s rapper friend Swarmz (real name Brandon Scott) – we have no idea if this guy can box. We do know he has never fought before.
Anyway, here is what we know now.
KSI vs Swarmz Odds
The early line had KSI a -400 favorite (bet $400 to win $100) to beat Wassabi while Alex had been the +300 (bet $100 to win $300) underdog. Once the line is revealed for KSI/Swarmz we expect KSI to be a huge favorite.
We will likely have big-fight boxing picks for you come fight week. Check back then people.
When is KSI vs Swarmz
Okay so the fight takes place Saturday August 27 in London at the O2 Arena. Ring walks are expected between 5pm and 6pm Eastern Time, or between 2pm and 3pm Pacific.
How to watch KSI vs Swarmz live on TV
So DAZN has the rights to this one – ‘the Netflix of sports’ is broadcasting the bout globally and that includes the United States. The subscription price right now is set at $19.99. Alternatively you can buy an annual sub for $149.99.
Sadly though DAZN has brought in PPV in the U.S. recently (despite saying for years that PPV was dead, go figure) but so far only for fights involving ‘Canelo’ Alvarez. Sadly this show will also get the PPV treatment – pricing as yet not confirmed. Grim stuff for real boxing fans.
KSI Boxing Record
So KSI – real name Olajide William Olatunji – has only fought once in an officially sanctioned bout. That was his rematch with Logan Paul at Staples Center back in November 2019. That night he prevailed by taking a split decision victory after their six-rounder.
Swarmz Boxing Record
Pretty simple – there isn’t one. The end.
