We were so close last week – 5 agonizing minutes away from a big EPL parlay payout – and we’re back again to take another shot at the bullseye this weekend.
Our double-chance picks for Fulham @ Arsenal (only denied the win by a 97th-minute goal) and Leeds vs Liverpool both hit, and only two very late goals in Manchester United vs Burnley destroyed the dream.
We’ve picked out three stellar bets again this weekend to group in a parlay which would net a $69.56 profit for just a $10 stake.
The games we’ve chosen are across Saturday, Sunday and Monday, so there is plenty to keep you excited throughout the weekend slate.
Why Paul’s Parlay?
Why should you trust Paul’s Parlays? Pretty simple really – years and years of experience.
Paul Arizona is a soccer expert par excellence – there are few better. He cut his teeth writing for some of the biggest soccer brands in Europe, and now he’s taken his talents across the pond. His EPL parlay expertise is good as it gets.
We’ll keep a running check of how Paul is performing overall. Remember, our job is to help you win cash…
And now to the games.
Saturday April 24: West Ham v Chelsea (1230 ET, NBCSN)
The biggest game of the weekend would have meant a lot more had the Super League craziness not completely devalued Champions League qualifying. But we’ll take what we can get in a season which is dying right now.
Both teams are locked on 55 points in fourth and fifth in the EPL standings. The stakes are high – in terms of potential revenue generation at least. Chelsea in particular is faltering right now. Its 0-0 draw vs Brighton on Tuesday played out while fans protested about the off-the field mayhem. It’s a distracted squad right now = an opportunity for the Hammers.
The play here is both teams to score – West Ham is the league’s perennial entertainer; its last four games have brought three 3-2 scorelines and one 3-3. This time loves offense, and is vulnerable defensively.
We’ll bet that run continues and take the -104 available.
Pick: Both Teams to Score at -104
Sunday April 25: Leeds v Man Utd (0900 ET, NBCSN)
Pesky United (Manchester) might have let us down last week as the parlay unraveled late, but we’re going to double down by going for the Under 2.5 goals in this tight clash.
Leeds has faced Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool at home and has competed well against all four, but two of those games finished 0-0 and the other two 1-1. Given the intensity of the rivalry here (they hate each other) this will be a game neither wants to lose but neither really needs to win, either.
After the Super League embarrassment, Manchester as a club will be grateful to slink away from this season with the minimum of fuss and I suspect a low-key game is exactly what they want here.
They will, however, be proud of their unbeaten road and will want to protect that, so we would advise against trying to make a call on the money line.
Pick: Under 2.5 goals at +138
Monday April 26: Leicester v Crystal Palace (1600 ET, NBCSN)
Beware meaningless games late in the seasons – betting on dead rubbers can drive you crazy. But at least Leicester’s players have an FA Cup final to impress for, and the dream of a Champions League place next season.
This should be an easy three points for Brendan Rodgers’ impressive team. Palace has been checked out for some time and is already practising golf swings and thinking of next season.
Leicester is a little skinny at -213 so we’ll take Leicester to score over 1.5 goals at a chunkier -142.
Pick: Leicester Over 1.5 home goals at -142
