Katie Taylor Record
The brilliant Irish star – born in Bray on July 2, 1986 and now 35 years old – has a perfect pro ledger of 20-0. Twenty victories in 20 fights in the paid ranks. She has only 6 KOs in that record or 30%.
Before transitioning to the pro game, Taylor won Olympic gold at the London 2012 Games and became a global sensation on the back of that victory. Since then she has dominated the women’s fight game and is a huge deal fighting regularly on DAZN globally.
Taylor’s hardest pro fight to date also came at Madison Square Garden in 2019, when she edged a breathless slugfest vs Belgian Delfine Persoon.
Most recently Katie won a unanimous decision over Firuza Sharipova in Liverpool, England in December 2021.
Amanda Serrano Record
Amanda, known as ‘The Real Deal’, was born on October 9, 1988 in Puerto Rico and she is now 33 years old.
Serrano turned pro way back in 2009 and since then has had 44 fights in the paid ranks. Her record is 42-1-1 – 42 wins, one draw and one defeat. She has 30 knockouts, a ratio of just over 68%.
The only blemishes on Serrano’s record were a loss vs Swede Frida Wallberg back in April 2012 and a draw vs Ela Nunez in Atlantic City in April 2009.
Most recently, Amanda decisioned Miriam Gutierrez in Tampa in December. Gutierrez had earlier dropped a decision to Taylor in London in November 2020.
Where does Jake Paul fit in?
Pretty simple, without him this bout may not be happening at all.
Late last year Serrano signed with Paul’s management company MVP (Most Valuable Promotions) and a few short months later, we are set to go for a superfight.
